Sharon Wong is a kind, wise, and a somewhat quirky person. She deeply cares about Eleanor and her father. Sharon is in love and has a good marital relationship with her husband, Paul.

Sharon works as a dental hygienist, which she says are the "flight attendants of the mouth."
Sharon shows she cares about Eleanor such when she shows up at Sherman Oaks to ask Eleanor if she would want to have a girls' hang out. However, when Eleanor rejects her, she seems disappointed.
Sharon brightens up when she is able to give Eleanor advice on Malcolm. She is wise and helpful, as she tells Eleanor that she has the best dad in the whole world and is brutally honest when saying Eleanor doesn't even appreciate him, and that Eleanor should give him a chance as he would never leave her like her mom did. Eleanor finally comes around and apologizes for being so rude to her, and the two share a hug. Sharon even comes to Eleanor's play and tells her she did wonderful with her performance.
