Season 2 is the second season of Netflix's series Never Have I Ever. On July 1, 2020, it was announced that the series is renewed for a second season.[1] It premiered on July 15, 2021, on Netflix.[2]

- On November 23, 2020, Netflix shared a video of the cast back in production and introducing the new cast member, Megan Suri as Aneesa Qureshi.[7]
- After around three months of being on Netflix, Never Have I Never was renewed on July 1, 2020.
- Netflix and producer Universal Television were aiming for a Nov. 10 start date to start production.[8]
- News of the show’s return to set came around four months after Netflix picked it up for a second season.[8]
- On December 31, 2020, Deadline announced that Netflix delayed production return of Never Have I Ever amid Covid-19 surge in Los Angeles. The series was scheduled to resume filming the week of January 4, 2021.[9]
- Chrissy Teigen had a guest voiceover role in one episode of this of Never Have I Ever. But she decided to step away from the role in the wake of revelations that she once engaged in online bullying against model and reality TV personality Courtney Stodden.[10]
- The cast and creators hosted a fan-focused trailer event on June 17 at 8pm PST. Featuring Mindy Kaling, Lang Fisher, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, Jaren Lewison, Lee Rodriguez, Ramona Young, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Shukla, and Megan Suri, the event involved games, a fan Q&A, and teaser clips, all leading up to a live debut of the season 2 trailer.[11]
