— Margot to Devi Vishwakumar in ... lost my virginity

Margot Ramos is a character in Season 3 and 4 of Never Have I Ever. She is an aspiring artistic student at Sherman Oaks High who dated Ben Gross briefly.

She is portrayed by Victoria Moroles.

Personality[]

Margot is laidback and easygoing as well as sassy and sarcastic, but not to the point of being offensive or mean to her peers. She is a helpful tutor, as displayed by how she helps Ben improve his art grades. Surprisingly enough, Margot is quick to lose her cool around someone she likes, which is a sharp contrast to her allegedly tough exterior. She is passionate about the activities she does, such as her artistic endeavors. She doesn't seem to hold a grudge, which is shown when she tells Ben, "Babe, you know I don't care if you talk to her, right?" when referring to Devi. She is described as a sensitive kid by her father. When learning Ben overheard her trash talking him and downplaying their relationship, she expressed guilt and profusely apologized and was devastated he rejected her.

Physical Appearance[]

Margot is a teenage girl with long dark brown hair. She typically has an alternative style of clothing and fashion choices.

Background[]

In the Series[]

Margot is first introduced in ... hooked up with my boyfriend, as she is seen sitting next to Ben in art class. She gets her pear drawing back with an A+. Ben gets a D- on his drawing and Ms. Nuni insists that Margot tutors him, as she feels Ben's drawing lacks emotion.

Their first tutoring session starts one night where they argue about Ben needing tutoring. He admits that he sucks at drawing and Margot reassures him that he doesn't suck at it, but his drawing sucks because he doesn't care. She tells him he needs to express himself through his drawings. She asks Ben what he feels when he looks at the pear and he says "hungry." Margot kicks his bench, and he starts taking it seriously and thinks about how lonely the pear looks. Ben then starts drawing. The next day, Ben gets an A+ on his project redo and tells Margot that he thinks art can be therapeutic.

On the last day of school, Margot is in the art room packing her stuff up because her dad drove her there and she can't fit it in the basket of her bicycle that she rides to school. She and Ben talk for a little bit and she reveals to him that her summer job is working at Build-a-Bear in the mall. At this job, she wears a tiny apron and tells kids that a synthetic lump of stuffing loves them. She tells Ben that he should come by, and he agrees. Margot says, "It's a date," but it doesn't have to be an actual date. Ben agrees to make it an actual date. They agree to call each other later.

In season four, Devi and Margot get into a fight over Ben. They yell at each other, and Margot ends up threatening violence, which gets her sent to the principal’s office. Later, Devi sees that someone spray painted the words “stupid b*tch” on Devi’s car, and Devi accuses Margot. Margot’s alibi was being in Miss Nuni’s class. Later, Devi discovers that Miss Nuni was absent and did not have a sub come in. Margot is again sent to the principal’s office where she is about to receive serious consequences when Devi comes in and says Margot didn’t do it, which just makes Principal Grubbs more angry. Principal Grubbs lets Margot off the hook but refuses to hear who actually vandalized Devi’s car (It was Ethan Morales, who, coincidentally, has a similar last name to Margot’s actor, Victoria Moroles).

After six months of dating, Ben attends her art show to support her but her phone accidentally called him. Ben overhears Margot and another boy flirting and insulting him while downplaying her relationship with Ben. Devastated, he slips away from the show. The next day, Margot meets up with Ben asked why he left before he confronts her on flirting with another boy and reveals he the phone causing him to overhear. Surprised, she tries to explain but Ben refuses and breaks up with her, despite her calling his name.
