Aravind Vishwakumar is a member of the Vishwakumar family. He is Mohan's brother and Nalini's brother-in-law. He is also Devi and Kamala's uncle. He is portrayed by Iqbal Theba.

Season 1[]
Arriving at the Vishwakumar House[]
He is the owner of the number two home security company in San Jose area. He's from San Jose and visits his family to be the male chaperone for Prashant's visit. Before the night of Prashant's visit, he was in the house and looking for mustard in the dark which scared Devi who came from Ben's party and thought she saw her father while it was Aravind. He tells Nalini her house is very easy to break into, trying to sell her a security system.

Nalini asks him why he has to use the spare key and instead just be let in by somebody and tells her that Kamala was asleep and that Devi just got home. The next day, he tells Kamala how to be a good wife and work after she has children, all boys. Devi asks him to remind her if he was ever married and he tells her that there have been many women who wanted to settle down with him and that he is sort of a lone wolf.
Prashant's Visit[]
He googles the price of the gift Kamala got from Prashant, which is a mascot of Caltech, and tells Nalini that she really needs a home security system. At the table he wants to go see where Devi put the beaver in Kamala's room, who kept saying that Kamala should see the beaver for herself, but she stops him from going because Steve is referred to the beaver. He tells Devi that she had some catching up to do because her cousin Manju started her Cardiology residency at the age of eighteen.
After Prashant asks Devi what she is into, he tells him that she is a very talented musician and asks her to play something for them on her harp which gets her to think of the night her father died. Nalini jumps in and says to him that Devi is taking a break from the harp.

Sneaking Steve out of the house
Devi plays the harp for him and Prashant to distract them from seeing Nalini and Kamala getting Steve out the house. Sitting only with Prashant at the table,he asks him if he doesn't wish to have any children, because he notices that Prashant was carrying his cell phone in his front pocket. After Devi gets downstairs asking him if he would care to have his chai in the living room, he refuses, because he prefers to lift his tea from dining table level, after she offers him to play the harp for them, he accepts.
He asks Prashant to set up Devi with his little brother, Arun. He, Prashant and Kamala hear Devi and Nalini discussing on the porch about Kamala having sex with Steve and Devi kissing Paxton. In the house, he tells them that the household is out of control and the lack of discipline and respect in the house is astounding him. He also tells Devi that her bad behavior will be put to bed when she returns to India, which she knows nothing about.
