Synopsis[]
At a college fair, Devi juggles her love life with her academic ambitions, Fabiola ponders a tricky decision and an unlikely ally comes to Ben's rescue.
Plot[]
Devi and Ethan are openly affectionate at school, and Devi expresses her happiness with her personal and academic life. Professor Warner advises Devi to reconsider her relationship with Ethan, suggesting it may hinder her college applications. Fabiola's mother meets with Professor Warner about Fabiola's college applications.
Kamala has Lasik eye surgery, and Paati drives her home while Nalini goes to work. Devi and Fabiola attend a college fair where Devi shares Professor Warner's concerns with her friends. Eleanor and Fabiola criticize Ethan, believing he's only good for fun. Professor Thompson defends Devi when she faces mistreatment from other students. Devi tries to talk to the Princeton representative but is rejected. Ben experiences a panic attack, and Devi leaves the fair to inform Ethan about the incident. Ethan suggests damaging the Princeton representative's car as revenge. Devi returns to the fair, apologizes to the representative, and convinces her to give her a chance. Ethan interrupts their conversation, praising Devi.
At home, Kamala grows suspicious of Len possibly cheating on Paati. Ben meets Margot for support but panics further, accidentally staining his shirt. Devi offers her shirt to Ben, even though he had chosen not to talk to her.
Fabiola tells Eleanor about her college progress, mentioning her interest in Princeton. Fabiola learns from Akshara, the representative, about Princeton's robotics program. Ben gains the courage to talk to the Columbia University representative. Devi discovers Ethan stole Akshara's wallet and breaks up with him. Devi returns the wallet to Akshara, apologizes, and admits what Ethan did. Akshara is impressed by Devi's honesty.
Paxton discusses feeling undermined by senior students with Trent, who encourages him to assert himself. Paxton confronts a senior and warns him against mistreating him again. Ben, Devi, and Fabiola submit their early college applications. Fabiola's mother insists she apply to Princeton. Fabiola ends up applying, even though she doesn't want to take Devi's spot.
